Full Description

Primarily a 6 hour exploration trip of the stone-built old quarter of Kakopetria village and of Unesco World Heritage Agios Nicolaos tis Stegis painted church. Time dependant, a Troodos nature walk could be undertaken viewing the Artemis Falls. A traditional tavern lunch (not included in price) or visit the village attractions.

Kakopetria village offers an excellent example of Cyprus rural architecture with several attractions for example; a traditional man powered olive press. For nature lovers a walk into unique Troodos. Highly recommended is a meal at a village tavern (not included in price).

The overall itinerary may differ depending on the pick up location and is customizable.

• From Nicosia: Could visit (Unesco) Panagia Asinou painted church

• From Limassol: Could visit Omodos village and/or Kelephos medieval Venetian bridge.
• From Larnaca: we may visit Kamares Aqueduct

Besides a short walk at the stream next to old Kakopetria, and time dependant, travellers could do Artemis circular trail. For an itinerary from Limassol we could include instead Caledonia Waterfalls trail, the shorter Pano Platres - Myllomeris Waterfall trail, or even a short walk at Kelephos Medieval Venetian Bridge.

Know before you go

• Pickup location : At an agreed location: eg. hotel, resort or landmark of a main city: such as Limassol, Nicosia, Larnaca, Pissouri, Protaras, Ayia Napa.
• From Agia Napa or Protaras the trip would make sense if the duration is 6 to 10 hours, as, due to the significant distance, there is considerable time to be spent in the car.
