Mountain Bike Tour - Mount Olympus Single Trails

This ride is suitable for the experienced rider to challenge himself to the best single trail on the Island.

From Troodos Square we follow the Atalante Trail around the highest peak on Cyprus at 1952m (Mount Olympus). This technical single track trail has stunning forest views.

From the 14km mark we leave the Atalante Trail to join the Artemis Trail to complete another loop of Mount Olympus and riding a total of 21km of technical single trail and reaching a maximum height of 1850m above see level with only 250m of total climbing.

This tour is best suited for the experienced rider with a good level of fitness.

• Lightweight waterproof/windproof top (winter months)

• Cleated shoes and pedals (if you prefer to use your own)

Travel insurance is essential, with additional cover for Mountain Biking.

We use Whyte T130-SX bikes. We have invested in Whyte highly rated T130 Trail Bike range, which we have tested throughout the most demanding trails in the Akamas Peninsula Troodos Mountains, and have found that the T130 SX has preformed exceptionally well on the most technical trails, which is all down to Whyte's outstanding frame geometry and design.

If it is your preference, you might like to bring your own pedals and saddle. However, please note that you are responsible for your own equipment, and for removing your saddle/pedals at the end of the trip. We cannot guarantee the return of any bike parts left behind.

Wearing of cycle helmets is mandatory.

We select a bike size that suits you best, do a bike setup to suit your weight, height and your riding style, familiarise you with the bike controls and a safety briefing.

Cycling of all kinds has its dangers and accidents can happen from time to time. Please ensure that you are properly prepared for the riding you are going to undertake, with a good level of fitness and off road cross-county riding experience is essential. Riding with confidence on hard pack loose gravel with down hill technical sections (our tours are not for the novice rider, and over 18 only)
