Mountain Bike Tour - Latchi to Baths of Aphrodite and Cape Arnaoutis

• Commence from Latchi Harbour
• 5km ride to Baths of Aphrodite
• Two short ascending climbs then descend to Blue Lagoon
• Ride the rugged coastline to Fontana Amoroza & Cape Arnoaoutis
• Short Break
• Return Along the coastline back up to Baths of Aphrodite
• Stop here for food and drinks (optional) take time to visit where the Goddess of Love bathed
• Return along the 5km asphalt road to finish at Latchi Harbour

An easy to moderate 3-4 hour ride for a distance of approximately 30km. Great for beginners with some riding experience and a good level of fitness. The starting point is from Latchi Harbour. We commence our ride along the asphalt road for 5km until we reach the Baths of Aphrodite. Here we take the 'off road trail' .... starting with two short climbs before descending down to sea level to the beautiful blue waters of Blue Lagoon. (possible swim stop here in the summer season).
After a short break we continue along the rugged coastline to Fontana Amoroza and to the very end of the Island at the Cape Arnaoutis. After a short break we return along the coastline and back up to the Baths of Aphrodite where we stop for food and drinks (optional) and you will also have a chance to visit where the Goddess of Love bathed.

We then return along the 5km asphalt road back to Latchi Harbour.

Travel insurance is essential, with additional cover for Mountain Biking.

We use Whyte T130-SX bikes. We have invested in Whyte highly rated T130 Trail Bike range, which we have tested throughout the most demanding trails in the Akamas Peninsula, and have found the T130 SX to preformed exceptionally well on the most technical trails, which is all down to Whyte outstanding frame geometry and design.

The Akamas Peninsula is a wild and rugged region, which is why we offer support vehicles to cover any eventuality.

If it is your preference, you might like to bring your own pedals and saddle. However, please note that you are responsible for your own equipment, and for removing your saddle/pedals at the end of the trip. We cannot guarantee the return of any bike parts left behind.

Wearing of cycle helmets is mandatory.

We select a bike size that suits you best, do a bike setup to suit your weight, height and your riding style, familiarise you with the bike controls and a safety briefing.

• The tour may be cancelled for free until 24 hours before the date of tour, if cancelled after that or in case of no show, the whole amount of the deposit will be charged.

Cycling of all kinds has its dangers and accidents can happen from time to time. Please ensure that you are properly prepared for the riding you are going to undertake, with a good level of fitness and off road cross-county riding experience is essential. Riding with confidence on hard pack loose gravel with down hill technical sections (our tours are not for the novice rider, and over 18 only)
